Q: Will I meet my dog walker?
A: Yes. We offer a free consultation where you and your dog will both meet your dog walker. During this session your walker will spend time ensuring that they understand your dog’s personality and needs.
Q: Who will walk my dog?
A: Meet the paws on team on our meet the walkers page. Anne is currently our main dog walker.
Q: How many dogs are walked in the group walk?
A: We walk no more than 5 dogs at one time. All the dogs we walk are either on a lead or have a reliable recall. Not all dog walkers in Glasgow have a similar policy
Q: Are you police checked?
A: Yes. All walkers are selected carefully by Lynn, and fully checked. If you do require to see copies of your walkers Disclosure Scotland form, please let us know.
Q: How much do you charge?
A: Our group walks are £12 per dog per walk and £18 per dog per walk for a private on-leash walk. Prices for puppy/other pet visits start from £10. For more information on any of our services please contact us.
Q: Do you have a facebook page?
A: Yes. Here is our Facebook page.
Q: Are you insured?
A: Yes. Paws On are fully insured by a specialist pet care insurance agency. If you would like more information or to see a copy of our insurance certificate, please contact us and we will be happy to oblige.
Q: Is my puppy old enough to be walked in a group?
A: If your puppy has had all of their vaccinations (normally the necessary vaccinations are complete when the puppy is 12 weeks) then the puppy is old enough to be walked in a group situation. Dogs must be able to be handled on a leash, or be recalled. This will be checked during the trial period.
Q: How do you arrange picking up and dropping off the dogs?
A: We will collect your dog from your house, and then return them safely after their walk. During the first meeting with you and your dog we will arrange how we will gain access to your house. If we need keys, ask that these are ready for collection during this meeting.
Q: What areas do you cover?
A: For daily dog walking we cover most of the west end of Glasgow. We also serve some of the south side including Pollokshields. If your location is not listed, please get in touch and we will see if we can accommodate you.
For dog boarding and pet visits we cover a wider area. Please contact us to see if we can help with your pet.
Q: Do you do out of hours/weekend walking?
A: We will try and accommodate our regular clients if they occasionally need this kind of service. However we mainly offer dog walks Monday – Friday during regular office hours.
Q: What do you do in case of an emergency?
A: In the unlikely event of an emergency, we will immediately call and notify you. If veterinary assistance is required, we will take your dog to your nominated vet or to the nearest possible one depending on the circumstances.
